The foul sewer DN 200 and the house connection pipes DN 150 were executed in solid-wall polypropylene pipes. Approx. 390 m of sewer were laid, 13 reinforced-concrete manholes DN 1000 were built and 16 foul-water house connections were reconnected.
At the site of the pumping station the existing manholes were reused. The manholes were emptied and their good structural condition was established, so that – except for the pump manhole – a subsequent coating of the manholes was dispensed with. Wall penetrations no longer required were properly grouted and the surfaces smoothed with sulphate-resistant cement. The existing fittings in the manholes were unusable and were completely renewed. The pipe routing in the manholes was completely renewed in stainless steel approx. 1.25 m above the old pipe routing. For this purpose the new pipes were led through core drillings and sealed by means of pressure-watertight annular-space seals.
